 Nellie Griffin Luke, 83, of Adel, formerly of Nashville, died July 20, 1998 
at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany.
 Born April 27, 1915 in Berrien County to Ollie and Maryetta Ogletree Griffin, 
she was retired from A. W. Gaskins Nursery. She was of Baptist faith.
 Survivors include three daughters, Jane Sumner of Albany, Shirley Long of 
Adel, Jennie Spikes of Alapaha; two sons, Billy Luke of Adel, Bobby Luke of 
Jacksonville, FL; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great-
grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held July 23 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral 
Home with the Revs. Perry Lamey and Chris Turner officiating.
 Interment was in Flat Creek Church Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
