LAKELAND -- Esther Luke, 84, of Route 1, Lakeland, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 
1993, in the Tift General Hospital after a short illness. She was born Feb. 
16, 1908 in Charlton Co. and had live in Berrien Co. most of her life, moving 
to Lakeland several years ago. She was a member of Bethel Holiness Church.
 She is survived by her husband, Willie Luke of Lakeland; six daughters, 
Dorothy Webb, Lee Turner, and Jessie Mae Lee, all of Nashville, Edna Mackey of 
Urbania, OH, Dixie Sylvia of Valdosta and Willene Luke of Nashville and Dean 
Luke of Valdosta; one half sister and two half brothers; and 27 grandchildren; 
36 great grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Bethel Holiness Church 
with Rev. Archie Morgan, Rev. Roy Gaskins and Rev. Fred Hesters officiating. 
Burial will be in the Empire Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight after 2 p.m. 
at the funeral home. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of 
arrangements
