NASHVILLE -- Ollie H. Luke, 89, of 411 Hull Court, died Monday, July 11, 1994, 
in the South GA Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Irwin 
Co. and had lived in Alapaha most of her life before moving to Nashville. She 
was the widow of William D. "Buford" Luke, who died in 1971, and a member of 
the Alapaha United Methodist Church.
 She is survived by five daughters, Evelyn Griffin, Nashville; Lucy Tucker, 
Alapaha; Brenda Henderson, Ambrose; Betty Jo Rean and Marjorie Griffin, both 
of Jacksonville, FL; five sons: Cleatice Luke, Valdosta; R. M. Luke, 
Nashville; Sam Luke and Melvin Luke both of Waycross; Lamar Luke, Fitzgerald. 
She was preceded in death by a son, W. D. Luke who died in 1982.
 Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Alapaha United Methodist 
Church with Rev. James Hancock and the Rev. Fred Hesters officiating. Burial 
will be in the St. Luke Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one 
hour prior to services. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of 
arrangements
