MONROEVILLE, Ala. — Anna Geraldine “Gerrie” Luke, 69, of Monroeville,
Ala., 
formerly of Nashville, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Monroe County 
Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Flat Creek 
Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow 
at Flat Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Lovein 
Funeral Home in Nashville. Mrs. Luke was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Lanier County, 
the daughter of Robert S. Bailey and Myrtice Louise Moore Bailey, both 
deceased. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her 
husband, James Edward Luke, who died in 1996. She was manager of Bill’s Dollar

Store for 31 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist 
Church. Mrs. Luke is survived by a daughter, Anna Marie Stebbins of Richmond 
Hill; a son, James E. Luke Jr., of Monroeville; a sister, Marlene Hurst of 
Nashville; a brother, Kenneth Bailey of Nashville; nine grandchildren, and 
five great-grandchildren. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville, is in charge of 
arrangements.
