 Mattie Luke, 93, of Nashville died Feb. 24, 2005 at Berrien Nursing Center.

 Born Jan. 14, 1912 in Worth Co. to the late William and Mary Jane Sheffield 
Ethridge, she was a homemaker and member of Ray City United Methodist Church. 
She was married to the late Charlie Mack Luke.

 Survivors include one daughter, Katie Griffin of Nashville, one brother, 
Howard Ethridge of East Dublin; two granddaughters, one great-granddaughter.

 Funeral services were held Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at Ray City United Methodist 
Church with Rev. Wayne Mitchell officiating. Rev. B. J. and Theresa Holliday 
sang “"Beulah Land"” and “"Each Step I Take",” accompanied by
Libby Boatright.

 Interment was in New Ramah Cemetery.

 Active pallbearers were Jerry Griffin, Buddy Purvis, Elliott Garner, Roger 
Herring, Jimmy Lane, Billy Creech.

 Honorary pallbearers were Wilson Nix, Douglas Carter, Ferrell Herring, Shelley 
Cornelius, Jr., Henry Cribb, Bud Ray.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
