 The Berrien Press--Ruby Luke, 83, of Nashville died June 16, 2009, at her r
residence.
  Born May 7, 1926, in Jeff Davis Co. to the late George Mose and Mattie Lee 
Persons Nelms, she was a homemaker and beautician for over 43 years and valued d
deeply her customers and their friendship. She was a member of Nashville First B
Baptist Church and the Radiant Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death b
by four brothers.
  Survivors include her husband, Vinson Luke of Nashville; one daughter and son 
in law, Vicki and Brett Vincent of Hahira; one son, Vince Luke of Macon; two 
grandchildren, Cameron and Carmen Vincent; two sisters, Louise Baldree and Laurene
Laurene Taylor, both of Nashville; two brothers, Bruce Nelms and Rex Nelms both o
of Nashville.
  Funeral services were held June 18 in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with t
the Revs. Stanley Luke and Rick Williams and Mr. Jackson Moore officiating. Lee S
Stallings and Scott Johnson sang "Beulah Land" and "It is Well With My Soul," a
and Barry Spence played "Amazing Grace."
  Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
  Pallbearers were Randy Hancock, Don Williams, Gary Nelms, Hal Harper,
  Koven Luke, Hugh Harper.
  Honorary pallbearers were members of the Radiant Sunday School Class and the B
Brotherhood Class.
  Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
