Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Luke. Burial will follow at Oakey Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville. Mr. Luke was born Oct. 16, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Jesse D. Luke and Naomi Hancock. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Luke; and sister, Kate Griner. He was a mechanic and was employed with John Chambless Ford and Franklin Automotives. He had also been employed with the City of Nashville and the City of Adel. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Luke is survived by his wife, Gladys Stone Luke of Nashville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Jim Umpleby and Deborah and Tommy Royals, all of Nashville; five sons and three daughters law, Marsha and Jim Umpleby and Deborah and Tommy Royals, all of Nashville; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Gaylon and Joyce Luke, Glenn and Adina Luke, Darrin and Judy Luke and Earl Luke, all of Nashville, and Dale Luke of Adel; sister, Audrey Merrit of Vero Beach, Fla.; brothers, Olan Luke of Nashville and Ray Luke of Tifton; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Johnny Warren, Timmy Guthrie, Henry Huddleston, Marlin Johnson, Kevin Thomas, Carlos Prida. Honorary pallbearers were Vinny Vincequerra, William Keen, Jonathan Keen, Richard Keen, Wesley Griner, George Dent. Dent. Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
