He had been in ill health for several years, and had been confined to his bed for about thirteen weeks with a complication of troubles causing his death. Mr. Luke was loved by all who knew him for his good and notable character. He was always very considerate of others and would never say one word of evil about anyone. He was a very affectionate father and husband, a good provider and a kind neighbor. The deceased was about sixty-three years of age, he leaves a wife and three children to mourn his death, which are, Marlon, Mack, and Lilla, all of whom reside in the Ray City district. The interment was at Pleasant last Saturday about noon, the Rev. John Davis conducting the services. The family had the deep sympathy of many friends.
