  The Berrien Press -- Edward Ernest Lunceford, 83, of Enigma died July 17, 
2008 at his residence.
  He was born on July 23, 1924 in Crawford County to the late Clifford 
Middleton and Susie Eistel McCardy Lunceford. He was retired from Cheerhaven as 
an instructor in Dalton, a National Guard/Army veteran and was of the Methodist 
faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Cliff Lunceford.
  He is survived by his wife, Ruth Grizzle Lunceford of Enigma; two daughters, 
Penny Lasseter, Nashville, Debbie Hewitt, Royston; son, Hal Lunceford, Yukon, 
OK; four grandchildren, Jennifer Brantley, Rob Lasseter, Duncan Lunceford, Jody 
Dixon; and five great-grandchildren.
  The family honored his request for cremation. A private family memorial 
service will be held.
  Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
