 James Edward Marshall, Jr., 60, of Ray City died October 6, 2012, at Berrien C
County Hospital.
 Born February 28, 1952, in Mont Eagle, TN to the late James Edward and Martha 
Ann Hawkins Marshall, he was assistant store manager with Morrison Home Center 
and had been employed with Ganas Hardware in Lakeland for 17 years. He was very i
instrumental and active in the Berrien County and Lanier County Recreation D
Departments. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland.
 He is survived by his wife Pamela Sapp Marshall of Ray City; daughters, 
Heather Marie Marshall of Nashville and Elizabeth Breanna Marshall of Lakeland; 
stepdaughters, LaVonne Sapp of Plant City, FL and Danielle Archer of Lakeland; 
stepsons, Jason Vergeron of Princeton, KY, and Donne Vargeron of Valdosta; 
granddaughter, Mackenzie Kieon of Nashville; grandson, Jason Kieon of 
Nashville; 11 step-grandchildren, Austin, Macey, Rihanna, Autumn, Matthew, 
Emma, Nathan, Alexis, Brennan, Donnette and Makinsey; brother, John Marshall of M
Meridian, MS; sister, Joan Smith of Ringgold.
 Funeral services were held October 9 at 11 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Austin Deloach officiating. Music on CD included “Amazing 
Grace,” “My Chains are Gone,” “Butterfly Kisses,” and “Go Rest High on That 
Mountain.”
 Selected friends served as pallbearers.
 Lovein Funeral home was in charge of arrangements
