She was born October 27, 1927 in Berrien County to the late James Griffin and the late the late Marion Simpson. She was a homemaker and retired from Nashville Mills in the fi in the finishing department. She was a member of the Ray City United Methodist Church. S Church. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and especially liked Chipper Jones. She was t She was the widow of Robert Willard Martin who died in 1988. She is also preceded preceded in death by a son: Rodney Jim Martin who died in 1992, 7 sisters and 2 brothers. brothers. She is survived by 3 daughters: Deniece Herrington and Wayne Olive, Debra (Walter) (Walter) Snipes, Dolly (Elton) Dupree all of Ray City; 2 sons: Robert W. (Bob) Martin, Martin, Jr, Randy Martin and Jo Ann Temples all of Ray City; 2 sisters: Lois Watson o Watson of Nashville and Nina Billingsley of Tallahassee, Fl; special friend: Brenda a Brenda and Carroll Exum of Ray City; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchi grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 4 PM in the Ray City Un City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Jones and Mr. Billy Creech officia officiating. Brent Exum sang "Go Rest High On That mountain." Songs on CD include included "Remember When" and "When I Get Where I'm Going." Interment will follow in the Beaver Dam Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 P to 8 PM. Active pallbearers were Steven Snipes, Daryn Snipes, Scott Newbern, jimmy Dupre Dupree, Trent Exum, Rodney Jim Martin, Jr..
