Rev. William Laran Martin, 69, of Nashville died April 13, 2014, in Tift 
Regional Medical Center.
 He was born September 26, 1944, in Dade County, FL to the late William Julius 
and Ora Bell Harnage Martin. He was retired from Queen Carpet in Tifton in 
maintenance and Larkin Coil in Tifton. He was a pastor for over 20 years in the 
Holiness Baptist denomination and a member of The Cross Church.
 He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Moore Martin of Nashville; a daughter and 
son-in-law, Andi and Bryan Alexander of Nashville; a son and daughter-in-law, 
Rev. Chris and Kristie Martin of Nashville; four grandchildren, Autumn Martin, 
Madisyn Alexander, Ashton Martin, and Kirsten Martin; father-in-law and mother-
in-law, Rev. James and Frances Moore of Willacoochee.
 Funeral services were held April 17 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral 
Home with the Revs. Donnie Sloan and Tracy Swanson officiating. 
 Interment followed in Nashville Memorial Gardens.
 Memorials are requested to The Cross Church.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
