Donald Mathis, 72, of Nashville passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at South 
Georgia Medical Center. 
He was born on Jan. 15, 1936 in Berrien Co. to the late Roy and Rebecca 
Flanders Mathis. He was a retired wholesale foods representative and produce 
farmer and attended Cross Creek Baptist Church. 
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Coker Mathis of Nashville; two sons, Ron 
(Tressie) Mathis, Kyle (Trudy) Mathis, all of Nashville; two sisters, Dorothy 
Rowland, Valdosta, Eloise Kelly, Screven; one brother, Sonny Mathis, Enigma; 
five grandchildren, Kaitlin, Matthew, Britini, Morgan and Kaycee. He was 
preceded in death by a brother, Paul Mathis. 
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 in the Chapel 
of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Swain and the Rev. Ned Russ 
officiating. Interment will be held in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation 
will be held this evening after 4 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 
7-9 p.m. - Lovein Funeral Home
