"Chris" Mathis, 30, of Adel died February 28, 2012, at Ke Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Born September 25, 1981, in Cook County, he was employed with A&B Construction C Co. as a steel erector. Survivors include his wife, Ashley Moore Mathis of Adel; three sons, Landon Mathis, Bresden Mathis and Freddie Collin Mathis, all of Adel; mother and father, Vivian and Donnie Mathis of Ray City; father, Riley Harper of Nashville; sister, Regina (Rocky) Russell of Virginia; mother-in-law, Bonnie Cronin of Adel; father-in-law, Stevie Moore of Sparks; grandmother-in-law, Louise Moore of Sparks; grandfather-in-law, Fred Ziegler of Crossville, II; four sisters-in-law, Rachel (Lee) Sutton of Pensacola, FL, Stephanie (John Michael) Weeks of Adel, Shawna (Lane) Buck of Tucson, AZ and Stacey (Austin) Boyd of Nashville; special aunts and uncles, Gail Cumbus, Timothy Cumbus and Paula (George) Verdon; four nieces, Brookelyn, Emily, Maisy, and Annaliese Hester; six nephews, Suade, Tyler, Blake, Levi, Davin, and Wyatt; two cousins, Kevin and Jennifer Cumbus; step-sister, Kimberly (Ian) Hester. Funeral services were held March 3 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Ho Home with the Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. Interment was in Fellowship Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
