 Inell Retha Hughes Mathis, 97, of Crossville, TN, formerly of Nashville, died 
December 1, 2014, in Standing Stone Care & Rehab in Montery, TN.
 She was born December 11, 1916, in Berrien County to the late Henry H. and 
Pearlie Bloodworth Hughes. She was a homemaker, a retired supervisor with Levi 
Strauss, and a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Scranton Mathis.
 She is survived by her son, Clem (Angela) Mathis of Crossville; grandson, 
Stephen Christopher Sims of Crossville; and a sister, Ruth Cooper.
 Funeral services were held December 7 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral 
Home with the Rev. J.W. Dukes, III officiating.
 Interment was in Westview Cemetery, Nashville, GA.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
