"D.C." May, 78, of Nashville, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Berrien County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hope Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Pickern and the Rev. R. T. Castleberry will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. today at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 tonight. Born Aug. 25, 1924, in Berrien County, Mr. May was the son of Dewey Elbert May and Ethel Stone. In 1963, he became disable due to injuries received in an auto accident. At the time of the accident, he was employed with Lovein Funeral Home as a funeral and ambulance attendant. He and his wife, Kathleen Bailey May of Nashville were married for 59 years. In addition to his wife, Mr. May is survived by four sons, Dewey May of Butler and James May, Billy Jack May and Wayne May all of Nashville; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Ralph May. Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
