Mrs. May was born September 16, 1941, to the late Edison Franklin and Estelle Pafford Kinard. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl (Wendell) Davis and Ferryl Sue Martin, both of Nashville; five grandchildren, Josh Davis, Zackery Ziegler, Jeffery Ziegler, Tosha Jones and Jeanna May; two brother, Richard (Barbara) Kinard of Lenox and Charles McCranie of Tifton; two sisters, Julia (Terry) Arthur of Chula and Joyce Davis of Lake Sinclair. In addition to her parents, Mrs. May was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde May; son, William May; and two brothers, Dan McCranie and Dennie McCranie. Funeral services were held Friday, October 2 at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. William Davis officiating. Musical selections by Margaret Giddens were “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll Meet You in the Morning” with pianist, Richard Murphy. Interment followed at Lenox City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Chris Davis, Andy Harris, David Harris, Billy Ray Harris, Billy Jones and Ricky Davis.
