Born July 31, 1924, in Berrien County to the late Fred and Vianna Loyed McGill, he was a retired sales representative with McKesson Distributors Co. He was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Lea Smith. He is survived by the mother of his childred, Ona Faye Fitzgerald of Ellijah; two daughters, Donna Faye McGill Malmstrom of Nashville and Anna Beth Hacker of Ellijah Ellijah; four grandchillren, Rhiannon Kistler, Shadrick Starling, Starla White and Heather Rettergbush; five great grandchildren, Christain Mata, Gabriel Ruiz, Shane Starling, Christian Starling, and Jessie James White and one great-great great-grandchild, Raven Bella Mata. Funeral services were held April 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Interment followed at Westview Cemetery.
