  Grace Joan Cherry McMillan  Grace Joan Cherry McMillan, 87, of Easly, S.C., 
and formerly of Nashville, and the wife of the late George A. McMillan, died 
Thursday Jan. 3, 2008, at the Brian Center in Hendersonville, N.C.   Born in 
Billings, Mont., a daughter of the late Harold A. and Jeremina Chartland 
Cherry, Mrs. McMillan retired as a school teacher. Her career started in 
Portland, Ore., and ended in South Georgia. It included a number of years in 
Tucson, Ariz., and Savannah, Ga., as well as several years with her husband in 
the U.S. Air Force dependent schools in Libya, North Africa and Europe. She 
received her B.S. degree from George Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn., and 
her masters degree from the University of Georgia. Mrs. McMillan was a member 
of Holy Cross Catholic Church.   Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, 
Walter and Paulette McMillan of Buchanan; two grandchildren, Jonette Barrett 
and Bridget Cash; two great-grandchildren, Brittany Cash and Tyler Cash. In 
addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McMillan was preceded in death by a 
daughter, Alice McMillan; two sisters, Dorothy Cherry and Ruth Banks; six 
brothers, Charles Cherry, Edward Cherry, Robert Cherry, Harold Cherry, Clarence 
Cherry and Lawrence Cherry.   Funeral services will be held Monday Jan. 7, 
2008, at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary s Catholic Church in Nashville, with interment 
to follow in the Brushy Creek Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive 
friends from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Lovein Funeral Home in
