Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at four o’clock at the graveside in the Fletcher Cemetery at Alapaha. Elder Britt Hancock conducted the services, assisted by Rev. J.W. McMillan. The following served as pall-bearers: Floyd Martin, Clarence Martin, Eston Martin, Eston Tucker, Floyd Paulk, and Julian Paulk. Mr. McMillan was born in Berrien County, where he spent his life, on February 10, 1872, being 67 years old. His father was James McMillan, of Berrien County, and his mother was Rachel Fletcher McMillan, of Irwin County, both of whom are dead. He married Miss Jane Rebecca Hudson, August 13, 1902, and she survives him with the following children: Mrs. Nellie Gaskins, Mrs. Lizzie Tucker, of Alapaha; Ralph McMillan and Mrs. Kate Dorminy, of Enigma. Surviving, also are a brother, J.E. McMillan, of Berrien County; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Martin, of Enigma, and Mrs. Emma Purvis, of Alapaha, and four grandchildren. Mr. McMillan had a large family connection in this section and was a member of one of the most prominent families in Berrien County, where he operated a farm.
