McMillan Died Last Friday Mrs. Johnnie Astles McMillan, wife of Mr. R.M. McMillan, of Berrien County, passed away at the local hospital last Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock, following an illness of about one month’s duration. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Astles of Nashville. She was married to Mr. McMillan April 3, 1937. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, and had many friends and relatives over the county to mourn her untimely death. She was only 25 years of age. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, December 31, at 2:30 o’clock at the Fender cemetery by Re. Walter Branch. Surviving besides her husband and parents are two brothers, James and Albert Astles, and seven sisters, Mrs. Ona Chaplin of Waycross, Mrs. Mattie Osteen and Mrs. Mary Lou Osteen of Stockton, Mrs. Lonnie Bell Stodghill, Mrs. Ora Lee Exum, Mrs. Nellie Easters, and Miss Louise Astles, all of Nashville.
