Born Dec. 9, 1916, in Springfield, IL to the late Harry C. and Minnie Frances D Duke Smith, she was a homemaker and member of Nashville Holiness Church. She w was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth McClain, Sam Harris and John J Jackson and a son Leslie Dean McClain. Survivors include her husband, Edward Miller of Nashville; two daughters, Beverly McClain and Sue Mixon both of Nashville; three sons, Robert James McClain of Nashville, Kenneth Eugene McClain of Port Charlotte, FL and Marvin Lee McClain of Jacksonville, FL; 14 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held August 15 at 11 a.m. at Nashville Holiness Church with Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Rebecca and Deidra Warren sang “What a Day That Will Be,” Charles Bristol sang “Don’t Worry About Me,” Jeanette Walton sang “I Firmly Promise You.” A tape with “I’m Headed For Heaven” as sung by Fran Mi Fran Miller was played. Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Robert McClain, Terry Rentz, Rex Cornwell, Keith Blunt Blunt, Kenneth Walton, Shawn McClain. Selected church members served as honorary pallbearers. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
