Born Oct. 8, 1925 in Candler County to the late Grady and Manie Mills McLean, he was retired from Civil Service in Army finance. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Nashville Post VFW. Survivors include his wife, Elva Allen Mills of Nashville; sister, Mildred Moseley of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Mills and James McLean. Services were held Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary James officiating. Douglas Carter presented a eulogy. Becky Futch sang "When I Get Where I'm Going." Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Larry Ray, William Burns Sirmans, J.T. Nix, Raymond Shaw, Douglas Carter, Junior Futch. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
