Mixon, Jr., 65, of Nashville died October 1, 2007 at his residence. Born December 21, 1941 in Berrien County to the late Harris Lawson and Thelma Cook Mixon, he was employed as an auto detailer with Schwartz Pontiac, GMC for 41 years. Most recently, he was employed with Jerry Kelley Pontiac, Oldsmobile, GMC and Martin Motors Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep. He was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church and was married to the late Katherine Hendley Mixon. Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Mauldin of Nashville; one son, Jimmy Mixon of Nashville; one sister, Eileen Rowan of Nashville; one brother, Robert Mixon of Nashville; two grandchildren, Edward and Robert Mauldin and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 3 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. The Mike Hand Family sang "Where the Roses Will Bloom Again" and "Beulah Land." The Charles Bristol Family sang "Because He Lives" and "How Great Thou Art." Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Guy Martin, Wendell Spells, Jerry Kelley, Joe Rowan, Jamie White, Ray Hesters. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
