 Jimmie Elizabeth Mobley, 92, of Ray City died August 21, 2014, at Berrien 
Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.
 She was born December 15, 1921, to the late James and Ruby Knight Johnson in 
Lakeland. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ray City and retired as a 
parapro from Ray City Elementary School. In addition to her parents, she is 
preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Leo “EL” Mobley.
 Survivors include a son, James “Jim” Mobley of Ray City; daughter, Mary 
Catherine “Cathy” Mobley of Adel; granddaughter, Melissa Tucker of Ray City; 
nephews, Travis Johnson of Selma, Alma, AL, and Jerry Conner of Tifton; niece, 
Mariana Connor of Tifton; special friend, Latrelle Mobley of Adel.
 Funeral services were held August 24 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ray 
City with burial at Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City.
 Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
