Born July 1, 1924 in St. Johns Co., FL to the late Andrew Jackson and Lillie Inman Moody, he was a retired E-7 in the U.S. Army with a total of 25 years service. He saw combat duty in WWII and Vietnam. Prior to his service, he was a postal clerk in Adel, and after his military retirement, he was employed with the Adel Police department and had also served as manager for the Nashville Post VFW of which he was a member. He was a member of Adel United Methodist Church and attended Nashville United Methodist Church. He was married to the late Letha Juanelle Giddens Moody. Survivors include one son, Andrew J. Moody, III of Moncks Corner, SC; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. A graveside service with full military honors was held December 13 at 11 a.m. at Westview Cemetery with the Revs. Dwight Bishop and Larry Land officiating.
