ALAPAHA
Orburn Jessie “O.J.” Moore
Orburn Jessie “O.J.” Moore, 80, of Alapaha died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at
his 
residence.
He was born on July 22, 1925 in Berrien County to the late Jessie and Estelle 
Swilley Moore. He was a retired merchant and Army Veteran of WW II and Korea 
with service in the Pacific Theatre.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Pierce Moore of Alapaha; one daughter, 
Teresa Douglas of Port St. Joe, Fla.; one son, Gary Moore of Alapaha; five 
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Akridge, Alapaha, 
Cheryl “Sherry” Chambers, Warick; and one brother, Wilburn Moore of
Stanton, 
Mich. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Windell Moore who died in 
2003.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2005 in 
Glory Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Roberts and Mr. Teddy Pierce officiating. 
Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. today with the family receiving friends 
from 7-9 p.m. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
