Born October 15, 1915, in Lanier County to the late Atticus Haygood and Pearlie Bell Tomlinson Moore, he was a retired farmer and owned and operated Berrien Products Company over 25 years. He was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a life member of Nashville Post VFW. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Moore of Nashville; three sons and two daughters in law, William W. "Bill" Moore, Jr., Mitchell and Julie Moore, Fred and Cindy Moore, all of Nashville; two daughters and sons in law, Joe and Bob Lovein of Nashville and Melanie and Scott Miller of Hahira; daughter in law, Ellen Moore of Valdosta; 11 grandchildren, Leigh Gentry, Rob Lovein, Lisa Ashcraft, Jill Roberts, Will Moore, Blake Moore, Blair Moore, Kevin Moore, Matthew Moore, Seth Miller, Maggie Miller; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mitchell Moore and J.P. Moore, and three sisters , Rosalie Moore, Ruby West and Golie Davis. Funeral services were held June 24 at 11 a.m. at Nashville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. The congregation sang "It is Well With My Soul," accompanied by Bobbette Lamb. Interment was in Westview Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
