  Billy Owen Murray, 74, of Nashville, died Thursday, December 3, 2015, at SGMC 
Berrien Campus.
 He was born September 10, 1941, in Berrien County to Julia Bailey Murray of 
Nashville and the late Owen Edward “Buck” Murray. He retired from Chaparral Boats 
in 2002, where he worked as a wood crafter. He was a member of Pine Grove 
Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate of the Berrien High School Class of 
1959. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Julian Murray.
 In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Sellars Murray 
of Nashville; son, Lyn Murray of Nashville; two brothers, Bobby (Linda) Murray of 
Nashville and Larry (Denise) Murray of Lilburn; sister-in-law, Frances McGee 
Murray of Nashville; four grandsons, Michael (Cassandra) Murray, B.J. Murray, 
Brian (Kelsey) Murray and Ben Murray; three great-grandchildren, Kelsey Brianna 
Murray, Madison Murray and Kayden Murray; several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services were held on Monday, December 7 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of 
Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. R.T.Castleberry, Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. Brad 
Baker officiating.
 Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
