He was born Aug.15, 1928 in Berrien County to Calvin Buie Nash and Nellie Carter Nash, both deceased. He was a farmer and a member of King’s Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corps and served as the head of President Dwight D.Eisenhower’s security forces. He was preceded in dea death by a brother and a sister. He is survived by five sons, Johnny (Brenda) Nash, Wayne (Tammy) Nash, Randy Na Nash, Jimmy (Dora) Nash and Travis (Jeri) Nash, all of Ray City; a sister, Al Alene Griner of Nashville; and 14 grandchildren, Jason, Tara, Bill, Dorothy Jo, Au Austin, Britney, Kayla, Dillon, Haley, Jackson, Kevin, Jason, Kyle and Blake. Funeral services will be held Sept. 4 at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Lovein F Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary James officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p. p.m. today at Lovein Funeral Home. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
