Born in Berrien County July 22, 1900, he was the son of Ed Clements and Susanne Hancock Nash. He had lived in Berrien County all his life, was a retired farmer and a member of Community United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Nash. Survivors include his wife, Louise Cato Nash of Nashville; one daughter, Vernice Boggs of Decatur; two sons, Ernie Nash of Nashville and Kenneth Nash of Lilburn; one brother, Buie Nash of Nashville; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Mitchell and the Rev. Fred Hesters officiated. The Community United Methodist Church Choir sang “Amazing Grace” and “It Is Well With My Soul” with Joyce Akins as accompanist. Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Randy Nash, Wayne Nash, Wendell Nash, Robert Nash, Donnie Nash, and Carroll Fletcher. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
