Born Oct. 19, 1909 in Berrien County to the late Willie Thomas and Carrie Giddens Cato, she was a homemaker and member of Community United Methodist Church. She was married to the late William Dewey Nash. Survivors include one daughter, Vernice Boggs of Decatur; two sons, Ernie Nash of Nashville and Kenneth Nash of Lillburn; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Nash. Funeral services were held April 12 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Tommy Newberry and Fred Hesters officiating. The Community Methodist Church choir sang “Amazing Grace” and “It Is Well With My Soul,” accompanied by Billy Cornelius. Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. Donnie Nash, Randy Nash, Wayne Nash, Wendell Nash, Robert Nash, Wayne Cato. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
