Born Aug. 1, 1907 in Berrien County, she was the daughter of Mack Timothy and Rhoda Knight Carter. She had lived all her life in Berrien County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Long Bridge Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Buie Nash, of Nashville; two daughters, Alene Griner and Nelda Smith, both of Nashville; two sons, Carson Nash and Terrell Nash, both of Nashville; one sister, Effie Horne of Safety Harbor, Fl.; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were held Thursday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Elder Lamar Shepard, Elder Varn Marshall and the Rev. Fred Hesters officiated. The Primitive Baptist Choir sang “We Shall Sleep But Not Forever,” “Rock Of Ages” and “Amazing Grace.” Interment was in Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: James Griner, Wesley Griner, Timothy Nash, Wayne C. Nash, Jimmy C. Nash, Allen Smith, Travis Nash, Randy Nash, Jason Griner, Ken Lewis, Mack Griffin, Craig Lewis, Keith Nash, Chris Griner and Johnny Nash. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
