 Thomas Junior Nelms, 83, of Nashville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, in S
South Georgia Medical Center.
  He was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Pulaski County, to the late Dorsey Nelms and 
the late Sadie Vaughn Nelms. He was a retired mechanic with Dorsey Garage and 
the Berrien County Board of Education Bus Shop, where he was the foreman for 
many years and known as “Papa Bear.” He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary B
Baptist Church and was an Air Force veteran.
  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Cersey Nelms of Nashville; a daughter, 
Bonnie Nelms Bush of Nashville; a son, Tommy George (Susan) Nelms of Nashville; 
a sister, Loretha Nelms Cersey of Nashville; four grandchildren, Alisha 
(Rodney) Sirmans, Chad (Amanda) Nelms, Brandon Bush and Courtney Nelms; three 
great-grandchildren, Kyle, Carlileigh and Lee.
  Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 7, 2010, in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Vinson, the Rev. Stan Stalvey and the Rev. 
R.T. Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. - Lovein
Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
