 Edwin Henry Nelson, 86, of Nashville died September 5, 2004 at George Weems 
Hospital, Apalachicola, FL.

 Born March 16, 1918 in New York to the late Henry Nelson, he was a retired 
freight dock foreman and an Army veteran of WWII who participated in the D-Day 
Invasion of Normandy. He was a life member of Nashville Post VFW and was 
married to the late Edith Gaskins.

 Survivors include a stepdaughter, Hazel Robinson of Apalachicola; three step-
grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren.

 A graveside service was held September 10 at 11 a.m. at Westview Cemetery with 
past Nashville VFW Commander and Quartermaster Russell Harrelson officiating.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
