RAY CITY -- Clemmie Lorine Nessmith, 89, of Ray City died June 20, 2006 at 
South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.
 Born in Berrien County to the late Thomas A. and Annie Rebecca Whittle 
Fountain, she was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death 
by her first husband, Willie J. Fender Sr., and a granddaughter, Beverly Nan 
Moore.
 Survivors include her husband, Hansel E. Nessmith of Ray City; two daughters, 
Betty Jean Moore of Micanopy, FL and Deborah F. Gray of Riverside, CA; one son 
Willie J. Fender Jr., of Plant City, FL; one stepson, Klim Nessmith of 
Nashville; one uncle, Lynn Whittle of Moultrie; grandchildren, Brenda Moore 
Webb, Yvette Fender McEver, Nicole Fender Weaver, Kenneth M. Fender, Stacey 
Gray Hawkins, Timmy Nessmith; 14 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-
grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held June 23 at 10 a.m. at Lakeland Chapel Music 
Funeral Services.
 Interment was in New Ramah Cemetery in Ray City.
 Music Funeral Home of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
