Nicholson of Near Alapaha Dies Mr. James Monroe Nicholson, 72 years of age, a farmer residing on a farm of Mr. A.W. Gaskins near Alapaha, died Wednesday morning at 1:30 o’clock. He had been in bad health for a number of years from diabetes and kidney ailments. The deceased was born and reared in Green County and reared in Frank- (missing line of print) Berrien County for about sixteen months. He was well known in the Alapaha section and had made many friends during his short stay in the county. Funeral services were conducted this morning at 10 o’clock at Flat Creek Church by Rev. L.E. Williams, pastor of the Nashville Methodist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Giddens Funeral Home of Nashville. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W.P. Nicholson of Alapaha, Mrs. O.D. Scarboro of Danielsville, and Mrs. Ralph Coile of Royston, and three sons, C.A. Nicholson of Orlando, Fla., Fred Nicholson of Royston, and Ed Nicholson of Kannaplis, N.C.
