She was born on Jan. 3, 1915, in Berrien County to Henry Daniel and Suzie Roberts Harper. She was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Lucious E. Nix who died on Nov. 15, 2002 and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Nix, who died in 1950, grandson, Allen Nix, who died in 1960, and great-grandson, Jacob Jilcott, who died in 1997. She is survived by two sons, James L. "Buddy" Nix and Billy Nix, both of Nashville, three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Eloise Aaron of Alapaha. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary James, the Rev. Johnny Hendley and the Rev. Junior Swain officiating. Burial will be held in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
