 Mary Magdeline Nix, 97, of Nashville died September 28, 2014,at Berrien Nursing 
Center.
 She was born November 13, 1916, in Berrien County to the late Johnny and Lona 
Mathis Ford. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Missionary 
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Glendon Nix, who 
died in 1976; six brothers, Ralph, Buie, Lonnie, Carey, Bob and J.N. Ford; and a 
great-grandson, Gabe Hendley.
 She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Harper of Nashville, Vivian 
Bradford of Nashville and Wylene Richardson of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Bobby 
Glynn Nix of Nashville; brother, Kenneth Ford of South Carolina; nine 
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on September 30 at 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs 
Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Dukes III and Rev. Jackie Connell 
officiating.
 Interment followed in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
