Gaskins. Mrs. Nix had been ill for about two weeks, and pneumonia is said to be the cause of death. She was 52 years of age. The deceased was born and reared in Clinch County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Lankford. She and Mr. Nix were united in marriage about thirteen years ago. They had resided in Berrien County near three years, and had just recently moved to the place of her passing. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 11 o’clock at Poplar Springs Church, conducted by Rev. Booth of Willacoochee, and Rev. John Swain of Berrien County, both ministers paying the deceased a fine tribute. She was a devout member of the Willacoochee Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Giddens Funeral Home, local undertaking establishment. Surviving are the husband and two daughters, three sisters, and one brother, Mr. Willie Lankford of Willacoochee.
