Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Empire Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Elisha Roberts and Robert Register officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Born May 8, 1906, in Berrien County, she was the daughter of Samuel G. and Olive Gaskins Sanders, both deceased. A housewife, she was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Survivors include two sons, Frank D. Brooker of Atlanta and Arthur E. Brooker of Nashville; one daughter, Dorothy McLellan of Nashville; two brothers Levi Jordan Sanders of Royal Palm, FL, and Floyd Sanders of Perry, FL; one sister, Marjorie Arnold of Lakeland, FL; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville. Additional Comments: Myrtle Sanders Brooker was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Brooker. She was the daughter of Samuel Greenberry Sanders Jr. and Olive Elizabeth Gaskins and granddaughter of Samuel Greenberry Sanders Sr. and Nancy Smith, Berrien County. She lived in Berrien County most of her life, though she had also lived in Florida, including the Jacksonville area in the 1940s.
