A native of Irwin County, born Jan. 29, 1907, she had lived most of her life in Berrien County. She was a daughter of the late Charlie W. and Martha Harper Nash, a retired seamstress, and a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2 p.m., in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Hesters, pastor of Nashville Mission officiating. Interment was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Irwin County. Pallbearers were L.A. Corbitt, Richard Smith, Larry Smith, Burns Sirmans, E.M. Griffin and Lane Smith. Survivors include the widower, Arlie Parker, Sr. of Nashville; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Kent of Nashville; one son, Arlie Parker Jr., Nashville; two sisters, Mrs. Blannie Lee McEwen of Atlanta, and Mrs. Fannie Johnson of Elberton; two brothers, Lonnie Nash of Ocilla and Pearlie Nash of Nashville, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
