She was born May 29, 1931 in Whitfield County to Thomas Solomon Rich and Ruby Smith. She was the office manager and seamstress for the former City Cleaners and Laundry and was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. Survivors are: husband, Arlie Parker Jr., Nashville; one daughter, Kay Fra(s)ier, Nashville; five sons and one stepson, Richard Smith and Greg Smith, both of Nashville, Larry Smith, Rossville, Joe Yother, Chatsworth, and Arlie (Skeeter) Parker III and Wesley Parker, both of Nashville; three sisters, Pat Cantrell, Daytona Beach, Fla., Betty Bunkley, Midway, and Helen Pierce, Rockmart; one brother, Gordon Rich, Dalton; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 1995, at Nashville First Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy Southerland and Mr. A.T. Bragdon will officiate. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home after 2 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville, is in charge of arrangements.
