 Johnny Mac “John” Partin, Jr., 80, of Alapaha died October 26, 2013, at Phoebe 
Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
 He was born January 29, 1933, in Arcadia, FL to the late Johnny Mac Partin, 
Sr. and Lila Mae Sapp Partin. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, 
Dorothy Kinchen Partin, who died in 1996, three sisters and five brothers. He 
retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. During his military 
career, he served in Vietnam, and in Key West during the Cuban Missile Crises. 
He also served in Tripoli, Okinawa, Germany, France and England. After his 
retirement, he worked as a route salesman for Arnett Milling Company. He was a 
member and Sunday school teacher at Alapaha Baptist Church and loved his family 
and his Lord. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and gospel music.
 He is survived by his wife, Martha Womack Partin of Alapaha; daughter and son-in
in-law, Sonya and Rev. Mike Gibbs of Alapaha; step-sons and their wives, Ronnie 
and Melanie Marshall of Bogart, Todd and Diane Marshall of Tifton, Jerry 
Marshall of Camino, CA, and Terry and Helena Marshall of Tifton; step-daughter 
and her husband, Nicole and Jamey Whitley of Tifton; grandchildren, Brittany 
Gibbs, Bethany Gibbs, Mikell Gibbs, Kaleigh Gibbs, Kristen and Jess Lindsey, 
Katherine Johns, Amanda and Brett Meeks, Jessica and Kirk Law, Paul Marshall, 
Madisyn Marshall, Turner Whitley and Marley Whitley, six great-grandchildren; 
sister, Dorothy Mason of Conyers. 
  Funeral services were held October 28 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of
Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Director with Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating.
 Interment followed in Lawrence Cemetery, Tift County.
