Born Nov. 17, 1952 in Berrien County to the late Howard Earl and Ellen Frances Fountain Pevy, he was a laborer and attended New River Free Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Sue Ellen Clark Pevy of Ray City; daughter, Teresa Smith of Hahira; sons, Damon Lee Guy of Sparks and Jerry Don Mueller and Ronnie Edward Mueller, both of Norman, OK; three sisters and on brother-in-law, Martha and James Earl Humbers of Homerville, Darlene Starling and Jo Ellen Walker of Valdosta; three grandchildren, Chad Smith of Hahira, Tyler Lee Guy and Trey Lansing Guy, both of Norman. Funeral services were held May 29 at 11 a.m. at New River Free Holiness Church with Pastor A.D. Connell and Rev. James McMillan officiating. The congregation sang "Amazing Grave," Lisa Autry and Sandra Griffin sang "The Anchor Holds" and "God' Got Everything Under Control," Charles Connell Sang "Lily of the Valley," and "I've Never Been This Homesick Before," and Katie Stephens sang "I'm Following On." Interment was in New River Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Wesley Humbers, Chad Smith, Freddie Smith, Corey White, Johnny Lee Thomas, Nathan Powell. Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Pack and Van Stephens. Roundtree Funeral Home of Homerville was in charge of arrangements.
