Mrs. Lula Pierce of Alapaha Passes; Burial on Tuesday
	Funeral services were held Tuesday at Alapaha Methodist Church for Mrs. 
Lula Catherine Pierce, 78, lifelong resident of Berrien County, who died in 
Tifton after an illness of several months.  Burial was in Fletcher Cemetery in 
Berrien County.
	Mrs. Pierce, a member of Alapaha Baptist Church, was born in 1877 in 
Berrien County.
	Surviving are four sons, D.V. Pierce of Tifton, R.J. Pierce of Tampa, 
Fla., W.A. Pierce, Alapaha, and G.E. Pierce of Waycross; two brothers, J.J. Gay 
of Alapaha, and L.J. Gay of Milledgeville; a sister, Mrs. Doyle Carter of 
Alapaha, and 12 grandchildren.
