 Willie Edgar Pitts, 65, of Nashville died May 11, 2009, at his residence.

 Born Jan. 6, 1944 in Richmond Co. to the late Jack and Ruth Myers Pitts, he 
was a retired electrician and an Army veteran.

 Survivors include his wife, Betty Reed Pitts of Fitzgerald; three daughters, 
Marcy Byrd of Nashville, Lana Reed of Ocilla, Tara Dixon of Cordele; two sons, 
Willie Edgar Pitts, Jr. of Grovetown and James Reed of Ocilla; one brother, 
Jackie Pitts of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

 The family honored his request for cremation and no formal service was held.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
