NASHVILLE -- Lucy Powell, 67, Alapaha, passed away Sunday, March 21, 1999 at 
her residence. She was born March 30, 1931 in Berrien Co. to the late J. Mack 
Hendley and the late Essie Mae Tucker. She was a homemaker and a member of the 
Alapaha United Methodist Church.
 Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Millie and Louis Sutton, 
Dublin; two sons and daughters in law, David and Gail Powell, Alapaha and 
Keith and Janet Powell, Nashville and five grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Alapaha United Methodist 
Church. The Rev. Ron Johnson and the Rev. Fred Hesters will officiate. 
Interment will follow in Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4 
p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m.
 Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
