  James Scott Powell, 50, of Nashville, formerly of Bainbridge, died July 29, 2
2011 at Berrien County Hospital.
 Born March 31, 1961 in Decatur County, he was the son of the late James Wilson 
and Betty Lorraine Spraggins Powell.
 Survivors include sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Owen Brooks of 
Nashville; brother, Shane Mercer of Bainbridge; nephew, Jake Brooks; two 
nieces, Kimberly James and Barbara Brooks; one great-niece, Meghan Blanchard.
 A graveside service will be held Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. in the Oak City Cemetery in B
Bainbridge with the Rev. Milton Harrison officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
