Alvah Powell Died Sunday in Florida
	Alvah Powell of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away at 4:00 p.m. on 
Sunday, at St. Petersburg, following a few days illness.  He had lived in 
Berrien County most of his life, before moving to Florida three years ago.
	He was born in Berrien County to the late T.J. and Fannie Outlaw Powell.
	Funeral services were held this morning at 11:00 o’clock at Empire 
Church.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Further details will be published 
next issue.
	Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Muerer of St. Petersburg, and a 
nephew, Bennie Sirmans, also of St. Petersburg.
	Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
